The 2019 World Rowing Season commenced last weekend with World Cup I in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

The WCI marks the halfway stage of the Olympiad and will culminate in the World Championships in August. The World Champs will serve as a qualification regatta for athletes for Tokyo 2020.
